October as usual means the annual pilgrimage to the Isle of mull for the mull Rally. Our family have been going to mull since the 70s with my dad competing numerous times over the years .
in the early 80s I came along and used to make the pilgrimage to and can vaguely remember sitting on tires in back of service vans and even getting drunk Age 3 !!! by drinking the heads of the teams beers when I started secondary school sadly we used to get left behind with the grandparents. in 1999 I got the phone call we all dread to say Dad has had a monumental accident on Gribun he was to spend several months in hospital resulted in me having to run the business however this resulted in saving plenty of money to buy my first stage car and if any event is going to be our first stage event it had to be mull. we competed in our 205 in the 2002 three and four tour of mulls then sadly finances ran out. now Mull is our annual family holiday introducing the next generation to the island. Back in 2010 pacenote mugs were produced based around my notes on the Isle of Mull Rally we popped these in Browns Tobermory and they sold extremely well so much so we had to build a website in the early hours of the morning after coming in from the McDonald Arms .
over the years we’ve added both Gribun and Calgary sets and also the long one browns has supported us over the years and still stock the mugs today the last two years we have also had mugs in Salen at the little bespoke bakery this year once again they’ve proved very popular.

As now is the norm we took some photographs of the event starting on Friday evening at Achnadrish hairpins on mull standards it was a fairly early night getting back just before midnight. Saturday afternoon we headed down to Gribun to a little jump that I’ve always like to take photographs at however the heavens opened at various points and we even had a bit of sleet and hail thrown into the mix.
with a quick tea it was back out to Christmas tree bend those that know know !!! Getting in at 6 am and then the kids woke us up at 6:05 . Sunday we spent doing family things like swimming at the now customer walk along Calgary Bay .
